Who is welcome at The Hive?

All home educating families with children aged 6 - 12 are welcome to participate, as we are an inclusive secular group. Younger siblings of those aged 6 - 12 are able to attend as well (along with parent(s)/adult guardian(s)). Due to space constraints, we will have a cap for the total number of participants each session. We will be open to accepting folks on a first-come/first-served basis until the cap is reached.

When will you meet?

We plan to meet weekly on Tuesdays from 9:30 am to 2:30 pm, with one-hour or so designated for re-fueling onsite midday. There will be 3 10-week sessions (Fall, Winter, Spring).

What is the cost to participate?

For 2018-2019, there will be a non-refundable $50 registration fee per family and each 10-week session will cost $150 per child . We are doing our best to keep costs low for families and the session cost equates to $15 per weekly 5-hour gathering, which we hope will cover our administrative costs (rent, insurance, etc) and some group supplies. There may be additional materials fees required, depending on the activities decided on for the session. There will also be occasional optional adventures (field trips) arranged (various days of the week, usually determined by the event/venue) during the sessions; these may have an additional cost to participate as well, as dictated by the community locations we plan to visit.
